We bid farewell to Velma E. Coburn of Newport, Vermont, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 22, 2025 at the age of 96. Velma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Norway and Mable Norway (Snider); her husband Duane Coburn; her siblings, Marvin, Edwin Norway and Hilda Pion; and her half-sister Donna Norway.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Cordeau (Dan) of Derby, VT, Ray Pronto (Denise) of Jupiter, FL, Elaine Kahn (Richard) of Annapolis, MD and Charlie Pronto (Lindi) of Newport, VT; and her half-siblings, Bruce Norway, Amy Gray, Arline Pettengill, Flo Verge and Betty Ferazzi. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Curtis-Britch & Bouffard Funeral Home (4670 Darling Hill Rd, Newport, VT 05855). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
