He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Brown and Esther Brown (Kittridge); and his brother Phillip Brown. He is survived by: his wife Edith Godfrey; his children, Deborah Brown of Orleans, VT, Tracy Machado and Ronald Brown Jr. (Karen) of Ellijay, GA; and also Alaskan Husky Toby. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, 13 brothers and sisters.
