We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2023, at the age of 73, Martha Rae Hilliker of Newport, Vermont passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Smith and Doris Smith (Clegg); and her sisters, Ardys Goodwin, Beverly Potter and Priscilla Goad.

She is survived by: her husband Archie Hilliker of Newport; her daughter Laura (Larry Gage, Jr.) of Newport Center; and her grandchildren, Drew Stone (Laney) of Newport, Caitlyn Sharpe (Kris) of Clearwater, Florida and Damion of Newport. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces who were more like sisters.
