He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Stoddard Gray and Madeline McCuin Gray; his sister Shirley Gray Brown; and his son James W. Gray II. He is survived by: his children, Jill Gray Wilkens (Ed) of Charlotte, VT, Daniel Akin Gray (Lisa Martin) of Plymouth, MA and Fortuno Gray of Northbridge, MA.; his grandchildren, Michael Gray (Robyn), Brian Gray (Melissa), Marissa Strayer-Benton (Jackson), Lindsay Zeitler (Joe), Jacqueline Gray and Justin Gray; and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Avery, Keagan, Roman, Crosby, Parker, Natalie, Grady and Lola. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
