He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Lester Cooper and Alma Barbara Cooper (Hollandsworth); his sister Linda Luke; and his son Benjamin Joseph Cooper. He is survived by: his children, Gary James Cooper of Massachusetts, Andrew Lester Cooper of Newport, Vt. and Jennifer Kathleen Shaw (Jenny) of Newport; his grandchildren, Kyle and Kara Shaw; and his siblings, Steven Cooper of Elgin and Bobbie Brezinski (Barbara) of St. Charles. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
