It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Eugenie P. Hebert of Newport, Vermont, who passed away at the age of 99, on November 12, 2021. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John B. Voyer and Gladys M. Voyer (Sheltra); her children, William (Linda Hebert) of Galivants Ferry, SC, Helena (George Fortier) of Meridian, Beverly Hebert of Newport, VT, Jennifer Felch of Cedartown, GA, Patricia (Edward Halik) of Newport, VT and Cynthia (David Ketcham) of Mapleville, RI; her siblings, Rosaire, John Voyer, Gerard Voyer, Rosealma Chmielecki, Germaine Beliveau, Annette Royer, Gloria Durocher and Elaine Voyer; her husband William Hebert; her daughter Elaine Buck; her grandson Jonathan Fortier; her son-in-law Elwyn "Al" Felch; and her siblings, Gene, Louis, Arthur, Emile, Lawrence, Lucien, Jeanette Garrett, Therese Rivers and Rosanna Voyer. She was also cherished by eleven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Once Covid hit, loneliness was destined to become an issue, but in order to avoid that, the children arranged for weekly family video chats with Jennie and, while she did not often actively participate, she was always present and it helped to keep her from an overwhelming sense of isolation. Perhaps the most gratifying moment for the family occurred this summer when, as Covid restrictions were finally relaxed enough to provide for social gatherings and when most of her family was in the area, her children hosted an early birthday party which was attended by close to 100 people.
