He was predeceased by: his parents, Winifred Carpenter (Lamere) and Charles B. Carpenter Sr.; his brothers, James Carpenter (Esfa) and Charles Carpenter Jr. (Lois); his sons, Ronnie and Brian Carpenter; and his granddaughter Billie-Jo Carpenter.
He is survived by: his brothers, Harold Carpenter (Lucielle) and Reginald Carpenter (Linda Santaw); his wife Sandra Carpenter (Gray); and his children, Debbie Tuller (Carpenter), Cindy (Roderick Lyon), Kathy (Daniel Fletcher), Tracy (Louis Guillette Jr.) and Dale Carpenter Jr. (Shelley Griggs). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
