She was predeceased by: her parents, Carolino Sousa and Teresa Borges; her spouse Dinamerico C. Fernandes; and her siblings, Antonio Borges, Alice Borges, Piedade Coelho, Ana Correia, Adelino Sousa and Helena Sousa.
She is survived by: her children, Raul Fernandes (Kathleen) of Newport, VT, Ana Fernandes (Jeff Hall) of Newport Center, VT and Carlos Fernandes (Fernanda) of Milford, MA.; and her grandchildren, Audrey Alden, Paul Pinheiro, Angie Fernandes, Christine VanZile, Megan Maclure, Bruce Fernandes, Laura Fernandes, Nicole Fernandes, Ashley Royea and Dinamerico R. Fernandes. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
