It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Beals Hurd (Newport, Vermont), born in Newport, New Hampshire, who passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lena Beals (Tenney) and Raymond J. Beals; and her husband David Hurd. She is survived by: her son Vernon (Judy) of Newport Center, VT; her granddaughters, Olivia Tribble, Elizabeth Martin and Mary Bilodeau; her children, Peter, Thomas, Collette Hildreth, David, Timothy, Scott, Jessica, Raynor, Holly and Adam (Sheldon); her grandchildren, Dale and Richard; and her sisters, Muriel Martin of Guildhall, VT and Mildred Bowie of Springfield, NH.. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be sent to the United Church of Newport.
