He was predeceased by: his parents, William N. Bursey, Sr. and Florence Bursey (Bradbury); his significant other Violet Chaput; his son Scott Bursey; his siblings, Ruthy Lavash and Richard "Dicky" Bursey; and his friend Edward "Eddie" Gass of Billerica.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Bursey of New Hampshire and Mark Bursey of Newport Center, VT; his daughters-in-law, Karena Bursey of North Troy, VT and Penny Bursey of New York; his grandchildren, Justin Bursey, Allyson Bursey, Danielle Bursey and Rebecca Ann Godfrey; and his family, Claude, Jody Buck, Darcy Hammond and Pete.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Newport Center Volunteer Fire Department, the American Cancer Society, Pope Memorial Humane Society, or one's choosing if any.
