He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Petit and Ruth Petit (Whittaker); his grandson Steven Fryberger; and his brothers, Warren, Dave and Sam Petit.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Bickford; his daughters, Tamara Petit of St. Albans, VT and Pamela Fryberger (Dennis) of Yacolt, WA; his granddaughter Denise Fryberger; and his siblings, Gerald Petit (Mary) and Betty Petit. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
