He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sutton and Gladys Sutton; his wife Arlene Mary Sutton; his daughter Barbara Jean Davis; and his sisters, Freda Gadway Kelly and Dorothy Sylvester.

He is survived by: his sons, Edward Davis (Janet) of Johnson, Frank Davis (Debra) of Wolcott, Wallace Davis (Barbara) of King George, VA, Peter Davis (Jolanta) of Littleton, MA and Brian Sutton (Patricia) of Westminster, MA; and his siblings, Patricia Sutton, George Sutton, Eileen McCalvin, Maxine Chardeen, Charles Sutton and Geraldine Treppa. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members and close friends.
