She was predeceased by: her parents, Merlin B. Ward and Aline Ward (Hollopeter) of Moretown, VT.. She is survived by: her husband Robert Arthur Tierney; her children, Elizabeth Tierney Roberts of Exeter, NH, Janet Tierney Sorrentino (Betterton, MD), Peter R. (Joni Tierney), Robert A. (Anne Tierney) and Mark W. (Kellie Tierney); and her grandchildren, Claire Tierney Vadney, Elizabeth Sorrentino (Jo), Christine Sorrentino, Dustin Tierney, Megan Tierney, Sam Tierney, Nicholas Tierney, Devan Tierney, Austin Tierney and Gabriel Tierney. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
