It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty West (Moretown, Vermont), born in Barre, Vermont, who passed away on July 14, 2018, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent John Gavin; her grandchildren, Todd Emery (Donna) of Middlesex, Heather Wilson (Curtis) of Boston, Tammy Farley (Mike) of Colchester, Tanya Perry (Larry) of Middlesex, Julie Young of Waterbury, Allison Mansfield (Lance) of Duxbury, Erika Dickenson (Bill) of Williamstown, Robert Marshall, William Erno (Amica) of Waterbury, Kassidy Abair and Riley Abair of Duxbury; her siblings, Lucille Anderson, Mildred Macintyre and Emmett Gavin; and her grandson Danny Emery Jr..
She is survived by: her parent Jeanette Gavin (Smith); her daughters, Linda Emery of Barre, Beverley Young (Alan) of Waterbury Center, Marsha Dudley (Steve) of Barre, Jane Marshall (Frederic) of Rochester and Donna Ducas (Phil) of Waterbury Center; her great grandchildren, Tiffini Boyde (Sean Buckner), Aysia Wilson, Leigha Wilson, Karla Emery, Elizabeth Emery, Alycia Dickenson, Landon Mansfield, Ryan Mansfield, Melissa Timbers and Maxx Perry; her great great grandchildren, Sylas Braman and Ryleigh Rose Buckner; her siblings, Shirley Simpson of Gilman, Dorothy Ryan (Howard) of Springfield and Richard Gavin (Gail) of Florida; her husband Jerry of St. Albans; and also, Janet Perkins, Laurie Lamorey (Ed) of Florida, Virginia Bockmiller of Florida, David Morse of Waterbury, Ed Morse (Kathy) of Virginia and Karen Abair O'Brien (Andy Wass) of Duxbury.
Inurnment will take place in Maple Street Cemetery in Waterbury Center following the reception.In Lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to some of her favorite causes such as the National MS Society, nationalmssociety.org ;the American Cancer Society, http://www.cancer.org ; and Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, 600 Granger Road, Barre, VT 05641 , http://www.cvhh.org .
