It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Gordon Allen (Montpelier, Vermont), who passed away on December 31, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Laura Anne Allen, Mary Allen Poage and Frank Albert Allen, III. He is survived by: his sister Ellen Gordon Allen; his wife Martha Ryan Allen of Burlington, VT; and his children, Mary O'Hare Zebrowski (Mimi) of Erie, PA, Gordon Doane Allen of New York City, James Riley Allen of Montpelier, VT, Margaret Allen Joshua of Fairfax, VA and Kathryn Gordon Allen of Alexandria, VA.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren (one deceased) and 8 great-grandchildren.
