Thérèse Higgins Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Thérèse Higgins of Montpelier, Vermont. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles-Eugène Malenfant and Amarilda Malenfant; her husband Edward Higgins; her granddaughter Madeline Higgins; her siblings, Marie-Jeanne, Gilberte, Martin, Marcel, Fernande, Francoise, Roland, Lucienne, Jean-Louis, Lucien and Charles-Henri; and her siblings-in-law, Adrienne Malenfant, Elisabeth Malenfant, Natalie Higgins, Adele Walters, Beatrice Turner, Clément Bilodeau and Drew Turner.

She is survived by: her children, Michele Hill (Roger), Marc Higgins (Beatriz Lopez) and Robert Higgins (Tracey); her grandchildren, Jocelyn Pateta (Dylan Hill), Nicholas (Christopher Higgins), Carter (Spencer Higgins) and Harvey Hill; her siblings, Jean-Paul Malenfant and Gabrielle Bilodeau; her sisters-in-law, Fernande Malenfant and Louise Malenfant; and also, Maisie Hill and Ana Pateta. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She also volunteered at the Montpelier Food Pantry right up until the pandemic hit, and never quite understood why she couldn't return even after being fully vaccinated.
