She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Francis Gatz and Maria Gatz (Conrad); her husband Ronald Ahern; her children, Diana Celia, Larry Ahern (Joan), Ronnie Ahern, Christy Ahern, Cindy Isabelle (Claude), Kevin Ahern (Rana) and Timmy Ahern; and her grandchildren, Tammy, Matt, Ivy, Jeff, Leaf, Cory, Tarek and Mia. She was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren.
