It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Edwards Jr. of Montpelier, Vermont, born in Pratt, Kansas, who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father John Earl Edwards Sr.; his grandparents, Orris C., Lela Mae Brown, Jack Hacker and Sibyl Irene Hacker (Smith); his foster mother Jane Hathaway (Smith); and his stepmother Cynthia Edwards.
He is survived by: his mother Connie Lee Edwards (Hacker) of St. John, KS; his siblings, Sally Edwards of South Hutchinson, KS, Ben Edwards of Lawrence, KS, Michael of St. John, KS, Joseph Hathaway of St. John, KS, J. T. of Nebraska, Valerie of Nebraska, Sonya of Nebraska, Scott of Kansas and George; his nieces, Dana, Kristi, Alyssa and Josephine; his nephew Lucas; his great-niece Aela; his friend Sharon Lassiter of Montpelier; his pet Jasper; and also Nate of Wilmington, NY.
