He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorothy Paige Shea and Harold Francis Shea; his grandfather Charles Coburn Paige; his former wife Claire Margaret Murrin; his wife Margaret Bliss Jennings; his children, Steven of Waitsfield, VT, Brenda (Raymond LaRochelle) of Waitsfield, VT, Brian (Maureen Charron Shea) of Waitsfield, VT, Jonathon (Barbara Morrison) of Fayston, VT and Lynne of Brattleboro, VT.; his grandchildren, Devlin Shea of Seattle, WA, KaLii LaRochelle of Worcester, VT, Ian, Nell Shea of Waitsfield, VT, Caitlin Shea, Kelsey Shea, Bridget Shea-Gander of Taos, NM and Michaela Shea-Gander of Chicago, IL.; his stepchildren, Patrick Jennings, Bradley Jennings and Megan Jennings Tucker; his grandchildren, Abby Vipperman, Callen Jennings and Matthew Tucker; and his siblings, Ellen Brigham (Loriman Brigham), Charles Shea (Patricia Shea), Margaret Lahiff and Marolyn Palmer. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

He put up with Alzheimer's in his last years, but he had a very good run.
