He is survived by: his former wife Elizabeth "Libby" Carll; his close friends, Lyndal Lumbra, Ron Brown and Norma Fletcher; his son William Atkins (Tammy) of East Montpelier; his grandchildren, Jordan Atkins, Taylor Gagne, Alec Atkins, Kyllie Fortin (Kendall Ogden) and Kassidy Colburn; and his sisters, Bonnie Betts of Buxton Maine and Kathy Bolio of Barre, VT..
