It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jean Bell (Montpelier, Vermont), who passed away on September 23, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Laird and Nettie Laird (Getchel); her husband Wendell Bell; her daughter Bonnie Boutin (Gerard Boutin); and her children-in-law, Cheryl Bell and Stephen Murtagh.
She is survived by: her children, Wendy Gifford (Lee), Richard W. Bell and Jane Murtagh; and her siblings, Raymond, Harold, Kenneth, Elva, Dorothy, Lorraine, Phyllis and Rachel. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty was a strong willed and very independent woman and these final years, as a shut-in due to Covid and her own health were very difficult.
