As Raymond departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Raymond may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Raymond leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Barnes and Helen Barnes (Davis); and his brother David R. Barnes. He is survived by: his children, Steve Barnes, Lorri Bordeaux (Gail) and Kristine Roberts (Joel); and the mother of his children Elinor Dether Barnes. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 nephews, and 2 grandnieces.
A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Vermont Veterans Cemetery (487 Furnace Rd, Randolph Center, VT 05061). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Milton Grange Hall (135 River St, Milton, VT 05468).
