It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Sweeney (Milton, Vermont), who passed away on January 20, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Elwin Sweeney I; her parents, Maurice Trayah and Irene Trayah; and her siblings, Marie Bushey, Earl "Butch" Trayah and Pauline Bushey.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Kirkpatrick (Glenn), Cheyanne Miller Elwin Sweeney II (Gene) and Joan Murray (Rene). She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, 9 Great- Grandchildren, and 2 Great- Great- Grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Minor Funeral Home (237 US-7, Milton, VT 05468). A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Ann Church (41 Main St, Milton, VT 05468).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
