He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Bentil and Sarah Bentil (Tsibu). He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Bentil; his children, Sarah Bentil, Paulina Bentil, James and Emma Bentil; his grandchildren, Lillian Jackson, Isaac Jackson and Karen Jackson; his brother JoJo Bentil; his great-niece Felicia Aidoo; and his cousin John Bentil.
In 1982, he began to pursue his Postgraduate degree in Mathematical Immunology, which laid the foundation for his remarkable contributions to academia.
