It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claire C. Berteau of Milton, Vermont, born in Sheldon, Vermont, who passed away on October 20, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Machia and Marie Machia (Raymond); her husband Edmond Berteau; and also Edmond. She is survived by: her daughters, Vickie (Jimmy Mayo) of Milton and Denise (Dana McKenna) of Milton; her grandchildren, Lisa Quintin, Jason Mayo, Jamie Lemont (Jeff) and Aimee Sheltra (Donnie); her great grandchildren, Cassandra Quintin (Alex), Emily Quintin, Mason Sheltra, Ella Lemont and Scarlett Lemont; her great great grandchildren, Tobias Quintin and Selene Quintin Brown; her siblings, Betty Parah of Swanton and Earl Machia of Sheldon; her brother-in-law Lucien Berteau; and her caregivers, Sondra, Chaplin Gary and Barb. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
