He was predeceased by: his parents, James Callahan and Katherine Callahan; his son James Callahan III; his sister Pat; and his brother-in-law George Dow.
He is survived by: his wife Karlene; his son Dan (Natalie); his grandchildren, Jim, Peter, Oni and Evan of Middlebury; his great grandchild Mike (Kate); and also, Amanda of Dover, NH, Will (Rachel), Brooks, Taea and Ronan of Essex Jct.
