He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Whitman and Nellie Whitman (Ballirgeou); and his siblings, Dorothy Whitman, Raymond Whitman, William Whitman and Richard Whitman.
He is survived by: his sisters, Cecilia Barrows of Bridport and Ruth Conway of North Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
