She was predeceased by : her siblings, Cornelia, James McClure Clarke and Dumont Clarke, Jr.; her stepgranddaughter Helen Wingard Hill; and also, Phebe Ann and Representative.

She is survived by : her husband Gibson Lewis, Jr.; and her children, Cornelia L. Dopkins (Richard) of Buffalo, Kevin Lewis (Becky) of Columbia, Deborah L. Rodecker (Robert) of Charleston and David Lewis (Rose Perfect) of Manchester. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and generations of nieces and nephews.
