It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Cardel of Manchester, Vermont, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Matina Sgardelis and Demetrios Sgardelis; and her brothers, Christopher and Peter Cardel. She is survived by : her sister Florence Stathis of Spring Lake, NJ; her niece Janet Kempner of Cody, WY; her nephews, Peter Cardel of Southampton, NY, James Stathis (Lisa Stathis) of Montville, NJ and Scott Stathis of Groton, MA; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ellen, Julia Kempner, Charlotte Cardel, Christopher Cardel, Jake, Jesse Stathis, Alexa and Julia Stathis; and her sister-in-law Jane Cardel.
In lieu of donations, Mary asked that people who cared about her invest their money wisely.
