He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard E. Capen and Ruby A. Capen (Beers); his great grandchild Colton; his brothers, Myron, Julius and Jon Capen; and his half-brother Ahail Crandall.
He is survived by: his wife Rosamond "Rose" E Capen (Rowe) of Danby; his daughters, Rosalie Bush (Charles) of Danby and Irene Moffit (Bruce) of Petersburg, NY; his siblings, Ruby Capen of Windsor, VT, Lois Goddard of Chester, VT, Bert Capen of Cavendish, VT and Howard Capen of Bradford, VT; and his grandchildren, Cassandra, Teshia, Trisha, Natasha and Tyler. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
