He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas LaVecchia and Mary LaVecchia; and his daughter Elizabeth LaVecchia. He is survived by: his wife Emy; his children, John LaVecchia, Jr. (Jane Davies), Emma LaVecchia, Michael LaVecchia, Catherine LaVecchia, Vincent LaVecchia (Meghan Pruitt) and Nicholas LaVecchia (Molly); his grandsons, Ian Lougheed, Connor Lougheed, Jack Lougheed, Timothy Bumpus, Joseph LaVecchia, Nicholas Price, Noah Price, Owen LaVecchia and Leo LaVecchia; and his siblings-in-law, Peter Cahill (Joanne) and Diane Cahill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many LaVecchia nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in John's name to the Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center or the Merck Forest & Farmland Center.
