She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gavin and Jeanette Gavin (Smith); her husband Carroll Simpson; her son Wendall "Skeeters" Gerrish; and her siblings, Mildred McIntyre, Lucille Anderson, Betty West and Richard Gavin.
She is survived by: her children, Mike LaPoint (Cheryl) of Gilman, VT, Scott LaPoint of St. Johnsbury, VT, Doug Simpson (Tracy) of St. Johnsbury, VT and Catherine Maloni (Louis) of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews including special nieces.
