He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sherburne and Bertha Sherburne (Hudson); his brothers-in-law, Warren Wolfe and Patrick McCaffrey; his sister Cheryl Fortin; and his mother-in-law Lida Surridge.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Sherburne (Surridge) of Lyndonville; his children, Michael Sherburne (Jennifer) of St. Johnsbury, Carroll Sherburne (Cassy) of Lyndonville and Calean Rhude (Paul) of Cotuit, MA; his stepdaughter Cindy Roy (John) of Sheffield, VT; and his siblings, Richard Sherburne (Priscilla), Ryegate, Rosalie Wolfe of Foley, AL and Raylene McCaffrey of Lyndon. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sulphur Spring Cemetery (184 Sulfur Spring Rd, Sheffield, VT 05866).
