He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvo Laine and Olive Laine (Gould); his brother Richard Rock; his daughter Nancy West; and his brother-in-law Keith Brown.
He is survived by: his former wife Dorothy Knapp; his wife Georgia Laine; his children, Ralph, William Laine and Ellen Soszynski (Peter); his stepsons, Doug Urie (Michelle), Dennis Urie (Carmen) and Dale Urie (Kelly); his sister Joyce Owens; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Shaw and Anita Brillard. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
