He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Marshall and Lucy Collins (Fairbanks); and his sisters, Cathleen Collins McKegney of Burlington, VT and Cindy Collins Foster of Reston, VA. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew Collins (Rebecca Wilson) of Gainesville, FL and Erik Barnes (Debra Candreva) of Cambridge, MA; his grandson Dylan Barnes; his brother Dwight Collins III; his sister-in-law Zipporah Weiss Collins; his sister Susan Collins of Berkeley, California; and his brother-in-law Van Foster of Reston, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
