It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George E. Benson Sr. (Ludlow, Vermont), born in Springfield, Vermont, who passed away on September 6, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Fay Benson Sr. and Monica Lamere Benson; his siblings, Marvin F. Benson, Jr., Anita B. Simonds and Paula B. Seal; and his son-in-law Tony Ciufo.

He is survived by: his wife Janice J. Sheehan; his children, George Benson Jr. (Mary), Michael Benson (Melissa), Kimberly Lampert (Jonathan), Gregory Benson (Katherine) and Angela Benson-Ciufo (Jeffrey Michaud); his grandchildren, Trevor Benson (Kaitlyn), Erika Lardner (Tom), Nicholas Ciufo, Topher Ciufo, Garrett Benson and Emily Benson; and his great grandchildren, Liam Lardner, Tierney Lardner and Sadie Benson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Foley Cancer Center, 160 Allen St., Rutland, VT 05701.
