He was predeceased by: his parents, Yetta Barbash and Philip Barbash; and his siblings, Sonya and Julian. He is survived by: his wife Connie; and his sister Roberta. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Howie introduced Connie to skiing in the early 1980's. They shared that passion until Covid when they both hung up their skis.
