It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara L. Mathews (Johnsbury, Vermont), born in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont, who passed away on November 12, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Aldis Ladd and Blanche Ladd (Heywood); her siblings, Walter, Mildred, Wilma and Gertrude Ladd; and her half-brother Harold Lyon.
She is survived by: her spouse Locke Mathews; her children, Dorothy Willson of Waterford, Stanley Mathews (Vicki) of Monroe, NH and Carolyn Denio (Bruce) of Barnet; her half-brother Paul Lyon (Sandy) of Waterford; her grandchildren, Laura Remick (Howard), Roger Willson (Sue), Angela Willson (Tim Troy), Allen Mathews (Anita), Darrell Mathews (Cheryl), Cyndie Payeur (David Hetzelt) and Ryan Mathews Chelsea (Jennifer Littlefield); and also, Joan Black, Vicki Mathews, Wade Denio (Mary), Kara Denio and Aaron Denio (Wendy). She is also survived by great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
