He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Prouty and Etta Prouty (Jefts); his wife Elaine Prouty (Howe); and his siblings, Theodore, Raymond, Norman, Ralph, Harold, Howard, Clyde and Edna.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond C. Prouty of West Townshend and Debra M. Lloyd (William) of Apollo Beach, FL; his sister Mildred Williams of Bellows Falls; and his granddaughters, Serena M. Lett (Jason) of Columbus, OH and Jennifer D. Escobar (Alejandro) of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
