He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Linwood Barney and Beulah Barney (Darnell); his wife Jocelyne Barney of Island Pond, VT; his children, Bernard Barney of Georgia, Cynthia Bowen (Jason) of Dalton, GA and Terrie Walker (Ted) of San Diego, CA; his grandchildren, Renee Walker, Daniel Walker, Bradley Walker, Brandon Bowen and Joshua Bowen; his great grandchildren, Brookelyn Bowen, Connor Bowen and Blaze Bowen; his sister Wanda Ovitt (Alan) of Atlanta, GA; his nieces and nephews, Shawnda O'Keefe, Robert Leigh, Aimee Cotnoir, Amanda Cotnoir, Franki Buffi, Lance Buffi, Phillippe Cotnoir, Claire Cotnoir, Andrew Cotnoir, Patrick Cotnoir and Megan Cotnoir; and his siblings, Leon, Wayne Barney and Goldie Mae Buffi.
