He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Melanson and Muriel Bailey Melanson; his wife Carol Melanson (Stancliff); and his children, Catherine Ingalls (Brian), Marcia Shuter (Russ), Dean Melanson (Loriel), Valerie Neal (Kevin) and Michael Melanson (Sherry). He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
