She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack McCarthy and Grace McCarthy. She is survived by: her husband Douglas Mead; her children, Michael, Glenn, Victoria (Chris), Leann, Cam (Mandy), David (Beth), Bill (Rhonda), Mary (Jen), Jim (Deb) and Pat (Ed); and her close friend Genevieve. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Flowers are welcomed and donations in her memory to COTS and Camp Ta-Kum-Ta are appreciated.
