He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred H. Sayers and Helen Sayers (Mace); his wife Martha Jane Nelson; his siblings, Eric Sayers, Ida Bushway, Pearl Whitehill and Hazel Sayers; and his son-in-law George Watrous.
He is survived by: his friend Rob Elder; his children, Cindy Watrous of Orwell, VT and Larry Sayers of Bellows Falls, VT; his grandchildren, Jacob Watrous (Heather) of Rutland, VT and Lindsey Walker (Matthew Walker) of Poultney, VT; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Lorelei, Valerie, Lampeter and Wales; his sisters, Shirley McLure (Paul) of Johnson, VT, Betty Fargo of Quaker Hill, CT and Linda Goodrich of Lyme, NH; and also Megan Watrous.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Piermont Congregational Church.
