He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Sanford and Lora Sanford (Griffin); his wife Priscilla Safford; his son Douglas Safford; and his siblings, Ruth Robbins, Margaret Stacey, Orion Safford, Alice Pagani, Betty Reilly and William (Billy).
He is survived by: his children, Ralph Safford of Lisbon, NH, Donna Winters (Chip) of Barre, VT, Randi Cornwell (Edgar) of Tarrant, AL, Rick Safford (Tracy) of Graniteville, VT and Timothy Safford (Bonnie) of Newbury, VT; and his grandchildren, Chris, Tobin, Nathan Winters, Sarah Tilton, Corey Safford, Joshua, Mary, Andrew Cornwell, Tara Starzec, Shane Safford, Brock Parrott and Brooke Dery. He is also survived by his 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
