He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earl and Margaret Violette Joe (Murphy); his former wife Phyllis Violette of Barre; his children, Sandra, Jill and Donald Violette; and his siblings, Elizabeth Violette and Bernard Violette.
He is survived by: his wife Carmelita Violette (Rock); his sons, William Violette, Randall Violette and Christopher Violette (Cara); his stepdaughter Crista Ordway (Ned); his brother Daniel Violette (Lorraine); his grandchildren, Shannon Violette, Alicia Violette, Emily Violette, Isaac Goss and Katie Goss; and his stepgrandchildren, Alexandra Ordway, Sidney Ordway, Aidan Lemieux and Lydia Lemieux. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
