He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Sean Effel (Susan Brown) of Somerville, MA and Rebecca Effel of Santa Fe, NM; his grandson Samuel Effel; his stepmother Ester Effel; and his stepbrother Lonny Peretz. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
