He was predeceased by: his brothers, Frederick Carter (Ruth) and Louis Carter (Lucille); his daughter Jackie Rae Carter; his son-in-law Kermit Donovan; and his great grandchild Jacob Ryan Gray.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Gilbar; his children, Pamela Donovan of Coventry, VT, Barbara Bolio (Ken) of Colchester, VT and Timothy Carter (Sara) of Essex, VT; and his grandchildren, Tammy Lalime (Scott), Teri Gray (Keith), Trisha Donovan (Chad Crowe), Lisa Hall, Karen Cozadd (Chris), Eric Carter, Stephanie Carter and Joanna Lefebure. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, several brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
