He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhard August Poschmann and Anna Tuschinski; and his siblings, Hubert Poschmann and Hildegard Reisenbeck (Carl). He is survived by: his spouse Maria Hermine Roeken; his son Bernhard "Bernie" E. Poschmann III of Fairlee, VT; and also Bernhard. He is also survived by Cousins in Germany brother and sister in-laws also several nieces and nephews.
