He was predeceased by: his father Claude Hanson; his wife Merilyn Cota; his siblings, John, Fred Hanson and JoAnne Whitmore; and his son-in-law John Belisle.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Hanson (Linda) of Charlotte, Debbie Belisle of Williston and Terri Lavallee (David) of South Burlington; his grandchildren, Jonathon, Steven, Justin, Dylan, Elizabeth, Nicole and Robert (Patti); and his sister Linda Lawrence (Stanley).
