He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bernard E. Hayes and Marian B. Hayes; his wife Deanna Willard of Essex Junction; his children, Christine Hayes Brassard and Michael Hayes (Jayne McCaulliff); his grandchildren, Daniel, Jenna, Jacob Brassard and Gabriella Hayes; his siblings, Marianne Argiros (Fred), Patrick Hayes (Meg) and Ellen Hayes (Dale Pontius); and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Bergeron and Gloria Leggett. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to The Frist Congregational Church of Essex Junction in Stephens memory.
